Description
Portrait of William F. Kern, Pitt Panther tackle and 1927 First Team All-American. Kern played with the Green Bay Packers of the NFL in 1929 and 1930 and went on to coach football at Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie-Mellon University) from 1937-1939 and at West Virginia University from 1940-1942 and 1946-1947. He was selected as a 1975 Awardee of Distinction by the Pitt Varsity Letter Club.
