This site was developed by the university to celebrate Pitt’s 225th anniversary. Through photographs, videos, interviews, and a timeline, 225 Years touches on many aspects throughout Pitt’s history.
Nationality Rooms
The Nationality Room program site contains both current and historic photographs and information about the Cathedral of Learning’s most famous rooms.
Heinz Memorial Chapel
This site provides a brief history of the chapel, as well as detailed photographs of many of the chapel’s architectural and decorative details. Information regarding the stained glass windows and organ is also presented.
This website highlights the changing interests and activities of women in the University, and the attitudes that affected the participation of women in higher education.
Department of English
The Department of English created this website to document the teaching of “literary and rhetorical arts” at the University. The site utilizes a timeline to provide information about the university and English department courses, faculty and students throughout Pitt’s history.

This timeline, relying primarily on alumni publications and other resources from Documenting Pitt, provides information on three main themes: Pride and Programs, People and Pivotal Points. Each theme is then broken down into various topics showing how the Alumni Association has impacted the university.
