Description
Chancellor, 1967-1991. Wesley Wentz Posvar became the 15th chancellor of the University of Pittsburgh in 1967. During his years of service, the University established the University Honors College, the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, and the University Centers for Social and Urban Research and International Studies. Posvar was also elected to membership in the by-invitation-only Association of American Universities.
