Biography/History
Samuel Black Linhart was Secretary of the University of Pittsburgh from 1903-1936. These minutes document the building of Pitt Stadium and the Cathedral of Learning as well as the development of the Alldred Memorial Library, Mellon Institute, School of Medicine, School of Pharmacy and several other events of the history of the University of Pittsburgh. A portion of the files relating to the construction of the Cathedral, Stephen Foster Hall and Heinz Chapel are located in the Administrative Files of his sucessor, John Weber.
